SD404 Auto Pipe Leak Detection Device 

    The SD404 is a professional device specifically designed for detecting leaks in auto pipe systems.This detector is engineered to identify leaks in different pipe systems of vehicles. It is a versatile tool suitable for all kinds of pipe systems as well as the EVAP system. It is highly efficient in quickly and precisely locating leakages in various pipe systems, including but not limited to the EVAP system, intake system, and exhaust system of automobiles and motorcycles. It is applicable to a wide range of pipe systems such as fuel pipes, air intake systems, and cooling tanks.

Operation Procedure

1.) After assembling the accessories of the leak detector, refuel about 30ml smoke oil for the first time, subject to the scale not exceeding max, and the filling can work continuously for about 30 minutes; Overfilling will lead to insufficient internal heating and temperature rise and smoke-no or less smoke output.

2.) Open the vehicle engine cover and remove the air filter. Some vehicle need to remove the air flow sensor.

3.) Put the air inlet adapter on the air inlet hose port of the engine, plug the pipe, and press it tightly until the air inlet hose is sealed, block up the other side of pipe with a plug,(When using air bag, the maximum diameter should not exceed 10CM to avoid damage).

4.) Connect the power cord to the car battery. The red clip are connected to the positive pole of the battery, and the black clip are connected to the negative pole of the battery.

5.) Turn on the power switch and the power indicator light is on, indicating that the power of the device is normal. Press the AIR MODE button to start working. Only after this mode is started, the SMOKE MODE can start working.

6.) After pressing the AIR MODE button to start working, pay attention to the scale of the pressure gauge, If the gauge pointer stays at exceeds 15psi, and the flow gauge float stays at the bottom of gauge and does not move, indicating that no leakage is detected. If the pressure gauge pointer rises slowly and there is always air inflow (the float not stays in the flow gauge bottom), it is necessary to check whether the inlet pipe is installed well, If there is no problem, it is determined that the detected part of vehicle has leakage, and then press the SMOKE MODE button.

7.) Press the SMOKE MODE button to start the smoke. In this mode, if the device detects that has insufficient smoke oil or the continuous working time is too long, causing the device to overheat, the thermostat indicator light will lights up and stops working until the temperature drops to the normal range, and the device will resume operation.

8.) According to different vehicles, the engine will be filled with smoke in about 1 minute, and the leakage fault point will be checked.

9.) After the inspection, remove the power cord and good storage the accessories for the next time use. The body of the air inlet adapter is made of rubber. Please avoid contact with corrosive liquids such as gasoline.

Notes:

* Please do leak detection away from smoke-sensitive parts.

* Do not run the detector over 8 minutes. It needs interval rest.

* The detector has protector. If it exceeds working limit, it will stops working automatically. In this condition, please wait for operate it later. 

* The round part (cylinder) of this detector inside is with temperature, be careful to avoid scalding injury.

 Smoke Oil

This product can utilize smoke oil such as baby massage oil, skin care glycerin, or industrial glycerin. The selected smoke oil must be a pure, water-free liquid and in a fluid state. Viscous smoke oil should not be used as it can damage the device. It is recommended to use the specially verified smoke oil provided by our company. If the product malfunctions due to improper use of smoke oil, it will not be covered by the product warranty.

When adding smoke oil, use the equipped pointed nozzle measuring bottle. If overfilled, open the oil drain and drain an appropriate amount of smoke oil.
